ARTEE FABRICS and HOME, HUDSON, MA
DESIGN SALES ASSOCIATE
Full Time/ Part Time
Our busy Home Decor/Fabric store is seeking artistic and creative sales associates who have a desire, drive
and passion for great design and interiors. The associate will assist customers by providing fabric
recommendations, assisting with custom drapery and upholstery design projects, putting together inviting and
appealing interior design solutions, calculating and cutting yardages for home decorating projects, visiting
customers in home when necessary to facilitate our custom drapery program, and selling our extensive lines
of home decor items, including furniture and accessories. If you are looking to put your interest and flair in
home decorating to work then we are interested in hearing from you. We will train the right individual. Specify
your preferred arrangement- full or part time.
The responsibilities will include:
- Assist in maintaining store displays.
- Assist in maintaining stock levels.
- Greeting customers as they enter and helping them make selections.
- Developing solutions for customers by listening to their needs and recommending the appropriate products we offer.
- Utilize the company's POS system to cash out customers.
Sales Associates Skills:
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs on a regular basis
• Must have excellent math skills.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work Saturdays.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• We will train in the area of calculating fabric yardage, and other technical aspects of the position,
including fabric repeats, suitability and workflow progress systems.
Education:
• Associates Degree or higher preferred
